Today we are fortunate to interview Ciprian Gabriel, Romanian player based in Vitoria, who recently won the 8 Ball Open Kue Liverpool Santander

Does it come your love for billiards Since when?

I discovered the world of pool with 13 years by chance. On the site where he lived had a bar with 1-2 tables, but it really was something new for me and I loved it. It is now part of my life.

What you most passionate about this sport?

What I like most is to compete pool. I’ve also been fortunate to travel around Europe playing some tournaments in the company of the best players in Europe and the world.

   

What are the ways you practice?

I like to play all modes 8 9.1 0 or 14.1. Come on, the best known in Europe.

What brand taco you usually play? Would you would you change to another?

Studded Mezz game and before he did it with Predator and other brands.

How often do you play every week? Do you think it is enough to improve your game?

I train almost daily an average of 4 hours. Besides I like, helps me to be at a good level.

What club you play normally? Do you think it is well conditioned for playing pool?

I live in Vitoria des 10 years and trained at Club Planet Pool and local Alavesa Federation of Billiar who recently have opened a new store with 5 tables.

What do you think they should do billiard clubs to attract more players?

Clubs should facilitate the practice of the sport with offers amateur people. It should be borne in mind that the crisis makes it all the more difficult for everyone.

What has been your best game or tournament?

Best game there are many. I remember one in which Trace a 7-0 against and won 8-7.

Have you always had confidence in your game or, on the contrary, we have entered moments of doubt?

I have confidence in my game, but sometimes there are moments when you lose. I think that happens to everyone 

Have you had the opportunity to compete outside Spain?

Outside Spain I played some tournaments in Europe. This always gives you a point when competing.

What is the player that you look to try to improve your game?

My favorite player is Efren Reyes. Overall I like seeing all the great pole, because you always learn things from all of them

    

Tell us a story that has happened playing pool

After playing 9-Ball against Ivika Putnic 11 wins won me punteo. He does not put out ball won the game and put my nine straight racks. I’ve 10-0 and an incredible defense. He looks lifts the table to me and ask me because I have made a defense after 10 games hehehehe …

How do you see the health of the sport in Spain today?

They are very difficult times for the pool in Spain.

Why do you think has lowered the participation of players in national tournaments?

Players can not travel as much by the economic issue. Before it was easier especially when the crisis did not affect people so much.

Where do you think you can be the solution?

Creating an association of players at the level of Spain to be strong and try to make more popular this very nice sport of polo. Today with internet theme would be easier to get everyone the pool doing more live tournaments stream.
