Enemigos Billarista

By David Muñoz

1- The rival
Villano par excellence, the opponent. It is a great enemy for two reasons: one wants to annihilate (billarísticamente speaking) and two, their game often determines us ours. How many times have we lost too much importance to who was the rival? Many. If we put all our focus his rival, we are becoming more powerful.

2- The environment
The environment includes a lot of small things that distract us or divert the target. We lose focus . Those things are comments from friends ( “to see if you win”), public comments while you’re playing (though they speak low, are heard), the presence of some important billiardist in the stands (places) or the level / quality the music heard in the background. All these factors are a major enemy and determine your performance.

3- The competition
Speaking of performance, the competition is another great enemy. In practice it petamos, but what happens when the tournament comes? Nerves, tension and failures. The competition becomes a villain in the time left to enjoy it . When competition becomes an obligation, a kind of taxation, then it is normal that we end up frustrated: we must see it as an opportunity to put into practice what they learned, not as a test of life and death.

4- Expectations
If you expect more than usual or if you move events, what do you wear? Yes, a disappointment. The (excessive) expectations are the fourth enemy of billiardist because we inject unnecessary pressure. We have said many times that the less we think about the results (and more on the road that leads to them), the more likely they reach on their own.

5- The demotivation
There goes the penultimate villain, one of the most feared: the lack of desire and ambition. If we are discouraged, if we do not pursue any goal, our low level of play immediately. It is important that we always have a reason to keep fighting every game in every tournament.

6- Self
and the sixth, the most important of all: you. You and your mind are actually your own enemy. Look at the previous five: all live in your thoughts: we think the opponent is good or bad that we think we do not want to disappoint friends or billiardist top you are seeing us, we think the tournament is the most important day to show our game, we win today, we now prefer sunbathing on the beach … we think and think. And that is undoubtedly the great villain.

Which of these 6 enemies of billiardist is the most afraid of? Do you have others in mind?
